Meet your school counselor

This is Ms. MacDonald's 15^th year in education and fifth year at Maxwell Elementary.  She began her career in Columbus, Ohio, in 2003 teaching fourth grade at Grove City Christian. She  moved back to Kentucky in 2004 and taught fourth and fifth grade in Danville at Jennie Rogers Elementary for five years while earning a master's and Rank I in School Counseling. She then came to Fayette County Public Schools and taught fifth grade at Breckinridge Elementary for four years. In 2013, Ms. MacDonald became the child guidance specialist here at Maxwell.

Ms. MacDonald was born in Portsmouth, Ohio, and moved to Kentucky at age 18 to attend the University of Kentucky. She married her high school sweetheart 10 years ago. They have a 6-year-old son named Liam who is a first grader at Maxwell and a 1-year-old daughter named Sloane. They love to spend time together watching Ohio State Buckeyes during football season and UK Wildcats during basketball season.
